Why is it that God is so great yet the world he created is not so great? Full of pain, wars and tears? It seems like a very simple questions and a many people will say that it’s a naive question, I can’t be the first one to ask this.. and the internet+books and minds are full of answers, only that these answers and arguments are very relative to the person stating them. To me, they don’t make sense. This world doesn’t make sense. This “God”, if there, doesn’t make sense.

I have tried really hard and I could not get to terms with the so called “God”. I have seen and actually lived myself more than one approach of life. One in which you just literally enjoy it as much as you can without even caring about all the pains and the sufferers in the world, life is mostly nice this way if you are privileged enough, you can be very religious and thankful to “God” if you’re following this approach, after all, you’re living God’s so called “bliss”. In this approach you deliberately don’t see the full picture, you accept that people are different and there’s luck and coincidence and some people have to be in pain and to be dying, it doesn’t shake you or wake you up in anyway. Your life just goes on, and with that so-called “spirituality” coming from your thankfulness to the so-called God, you are happy and you can live in this world because it’s good for you, you’re what you think “lucky” and other people’s lives just don’t matter because “God” wanted it this way and “God” will take care of it, SUPPOSEDLY!

I have seen many of this kind of people, maybe I was myself one of them at some point in my life. Very rich people who want to spoil themselves, their families and thank their good for their richness, maybe also help one or two poor people occasionally but in general, they don’t feel the pains of the world, they don’t want to. They are happy, and they want to be religiously modest to “God” in a way that we just have to accept the way things are. We can’t question God why children die and why people suffer, because God is wise, he knows what he/she is doing and this god’s wisdom also decided, somehow, that I should be rich and live this life, being indifferent to the big picture and to the world’s pains while enjoying my life. This approach in life mainly reminds me of people like those religious rich Muslims in Saudi Arabia, they can spend millions of dollars to change their shoes material to a more luxurious one, or take one of their kinds for example, who spent millions of dollars when he was once traveling to bring a golden stairs to his private royal airplane and I just don’t understand, to you, that kind, what difference does it make if the stairs of the plane are gold? you just step on them when you are leaving the plane, why would someone who’s supposedly religious, caring, spend millions of dollars on this while millions of children in his neighborhood are dying? The irony is that they call the king of Saudi Arabia the protector of God’s land or something like that. The irony too is that some of Saudi Arabia’s money comes from Pilgrimage, a religious act in which “Muslims” from all over the world spend a lot of money to go to Saudi Arabia to do some religious visiting and “rituals”. Why would they do this and spend all this money on this when people in their neighborhood are dying and why would they help the economy of a country which spoils their leaders with very unnecessary luxuries which if their value of money were spend on the world problems, our world would look much better and prettier.

I don’t mean to talk about Islam, Saudi Arabia, or their spoiled religious kings. It’s just one of the simplest and easiest to see examples of this approach in life I’ve been talking about. These people are religious, they claim they are aware of the problems and the pains of the world and they are trying to make the world better, and I think they ARE NOT. I don’t like this kind of people the most, don’t get me wrong, I don’t envy them and I definitely wouldn’t like to accumulate as much wealth as they do. It’s just that they are contradictive and abusing the resources of nature. They can have fun in better ways while trying to make more people in the world live easier.

As crazy as the title suggests, I have had this crazy idea that may very well be unrealistic and untrue, yet I want to share it with you. As crazy as this idea is, there's still some logic in it, and a lot of faith in the potential of us, humans.

I believe so much in science, in reason and logic, and I believe that we are sailing in an endless sea of knowledge, and maybe at one point, we will be knowledgeable of more than what we ever imagined. If you go back in time 500 years and try to convince someone that we will invent something like the telephone, the television or the internet, they will most probably consider you crazy, maybe the craziest of all! We had big scientific advancements since these 500 years, and according to the observation of the development of science and the way the universe works, we will not run out of scientific breakthroughs.

I believe that everything can ultimately be interrupted by science, everything is basically science. emotions, actions, even believes and our perception of reality, our feeling of existence, are all chemicals going through our veins and changing our feelings, are all electric signals going through our mind and our nerves and changing our perception of reality.

I want to emphasize on the science and the knowledge part, that everything is ultimately science. I see that there's no contradiction between the belief of whether god exists or not and the believe in science. If you believe in god, then you probably believe that this entity called god has infinite knowledge and wisdom, with which he created this universe and everything in it. I would love to call this knowledge science, god created our universe using science, a more advanced version of science than we have now, but basically it's still science. If you don't believe in god, then you should be believing in science in someway or another. After all, the big bang and all the sequence of events that later led to evolution is all science.

If you believe in prophets and miracles, and you think that these miracles will contradict with your believe in reason, logic and science. then you may want to see these miracles as some kind of science which these prophets had ahead of time. If you don't believe in prophets and miracles, then we don't know if these things happened anyway!

So everything is basically science, the creation of our universe, whether by a god or without a god, is science, the creation of ourselves is science, whether it's by some god's hands or by natural evolution through years.

So we presumably agree now that everything is science, and science keeps getting deeper and deeper, we don't know any limits of science. Everytime we think that we reached the limit of a particular science or research area we later find out that we were mistaken, maybe there's just no limit and over years, new horizons in science will appear and old impossibilities will be refuted.

10 years ago I was thinking and dreaming of what humanity could achieve by 2017, maybe we will travel more frequently into space, maybe we will find ways to travel through time!. We would probably have faster computers and better smart phones. Beside all of this, and out of my false faith in humanity, I thought we would have ended wars by then, I thought we could have found cures for different diseases by then. I thought we could have found means to peace within our countries and ourselves. Well, that what I falsely thought.
